which grade oil for track-day?
Discussion
nobody here runs on track with gtr????
My American friend said to run them with 10/30 (LS series).
I thought that the / 30 did not resist very high temperature in summer.
obviously I'm wrong, i think.
and many thanks at Jonny MacG for precious advice

@deadscoob: many advice for modifies in use my gtr in track-day
Jonny in race use 10/30.
my friend's usa idem.
but they replace it every 10/15 hours........
@GTR-P and JOULES: thanks but I think 15/50 fits only supercharged.
I believe that for my LS aspirated is too dense: for example with my 10/60 I had many "long tongues of fire" from the exhaust (no kat) releasing the acceleraore because maybe the exhaust valves do not close completely, and above all I believe that does not properly lubricate the many type bushings
boh!

DEADSCOOB: wich grade oil do you use in your gtr?
does not do it to redline, but beyond 5000rpm on the release only when engine oil + over 100 ° C: I think it's Autoignition at high temp , that unburned gasoline.
I have also tried to enter the cut-off, but little change the result.
But do you think the 10/60 affords better best protection at high temperature and at high rpm (6900 rpm my) or to 5/30?
Perhaps the problem is that I have the cam retarded 2 °.?
I have also tried to anticipate / retard injection phase, to "get fat / lean" gasoline, but the result changes little.
in any case ,it does so only when engine oil is very hot.
nobody here has had these problems???
thanks
