I have been checking the site, but I don't think any results will be posted until the 16 or 17th. DOH! Guess we will have to hope someone there has some updates they can pass along.

Jeff, A bunch of LS1 guys have recently had issues with the cam phasing causing the engine to fall on its face at high rpm's. Something with the stand alone computer controller not reading it properly (most of these guys had BS3) and dumping the timing. Once that got all straightened out they are running strong! Good luck! Can't wait to see it once you have this all straightened out.

Chris, I am in the same boat as you. But I am saving and learning as much as I can so when I can afford the car I will be ready to go.

Jeff, I assume your LS2 is aluminum. I was wondering if you are running an engine girdle to stiffen the block under high horsepower? I am told the guys making major power need to add this item to prevent any block flex and subsequent damage to pistons, etc.

Here is a link to the girdle I have seen on LS1tech.com

It was the cam sensor on the blink that caused it not to rev past 4800.
Frightening now! Hope to be on the dyno later.
The aluminum LS2 block has many GM updates to make it stronger, we wanted to test it, so no girdle.

SWEET! Glad you figured out it was the Cam Sensor. Hope those links helped. Weird how everyone with the BS3 has had trouble with the cam sensor....... Hope the engine holds up well with the high HP you are pushing. Post up some Dyno results when you get them. Can't wait to see what it can really do!!!! You are going to crush this event next year! Another Ultima record to go on the books.

PS jeff are the exhaust manifolds you use cast or tubular??

I am pretty sure he said they were tubular when we toured his shop. He mentioned they fabricated everything in house for the turbo set-up on his car. They are a tubular log style judging from the pictures on his website.
