Chaps, just thought I'd post a few guidelines (well, the ones I use anyway smile with regard to the advertising/promotion or offering of products/services/cars in the forum.

1. If a builder decides to have something made for the car and a small batch secures a better price - then I see no problem making it available to other builders on here providing it is for the general benefit of the Ultima building community and not for financial gain (obviously adding a couple of quid for your trouble is fine!) and not offered from a commercial entity. Davrians exhaust rings are case in point, which is fine (and look great!) provided they don't become a regular feature wink The same goes for carbon fibre/GRP bits which regularly pop up in here.

2. Posts offering commerical services for building, preparation or servicing cars will be deleted. Steve and Paul's new venture is great (this isn't aimed at you chaps by the way!) and will undoubtedly help builders, along with the knowledge that they already freely share on here - thanks chaps. But they know where the line is and most contributors will recommend them anyway smile (3rd party recommends are absolutely fine by the way it's self promotion that's not).

3. Posts to drive traffic to classifieds are generally deleted. Those who are in the market for a car or parts already look at the adverts. Established posters will obviously get more leeway in this respect smile as most will try to be talked out of it hehe but as a general rule, cars or parts ads in the forums will always get binned.

Hope that clarifies things
