New to Singapore

A new section of the forum for me, so be gentle.

I'm arriving into Singapore tomorrow evening, my company has just bought a new build office there and I'm managing part of the fit out etc.

The office is in Raffles and I'm staying in somewhere called Wilkie Edge

It's a short trip, so I'm not planning on hiring a car.

Looking for some advice on the locations I'm in, what to see and do, where to go for a decent western meal (I don't eat Chinese, Thai etc)

Oh, and if anyone's around for a beer then that'd be good too!!

The office is in Raffles Place, I think the MRT station is called Raffles Place also.

Thanks for the tip on the food, and definately could do a beer or two with someone who knows the lie of the land.

Well next time is upon me.... flying out of DXB tomorrow morning, arriving into Sing at 14.45

2 week trip, though I might go to KL for a weekend, who's about for a beer or 2?

Yep, I'm coming with a colleague and I think we've got a couple of things on this weekend (it's the races at Kranji on Sunday and we have corporate tickets, and I think a brunch on Saturday.

How're you (and your other half?) fixed for a drink or 2 and maybe some dinner tomorrow night?

I hope not.... looks like I'm definately flying back to DXB Tuesay night so tonight's my only chance to experience OT lol

KL was excellent, a little more humid than Sing, but an easy city to explore, I think I hit all the highlights in 48hrs.
Your apartment's in a cracking location (the security and management guys say Hi by the way) and Thanks again for the loan of it.
I turned everything off and handed the keys back in.

KL itself actually reminds me a lot of Luanda, the same fading colonial buildings, lots of rubbish everywhere and generally a bit hectic.... good fun though.

We decided that you'd got out of the whole thing far too easily, so we postponed until I'm back next time and you're available as well !!

(In reality David was tied up until late at work and I have a long day today so couldn't do a late night out so we took a rain check)
