Hi all,

I have a just under 3 year old LG Plasma that has started to act up when turning it on. It takes 3 or so goes to turn on, just starting a week ago. 2nd go I usually get a picture, and 3 go it stays on. Once on, it is happy and doesn't act up, but is getting worse at start up.

Is their any thing I can do, or check? I guess one of the boards is playing up?

Cheers.

It'll almost certainly be a capacitor that has 'gone dry' in the PSU. Easy and cheap to repair, but be careful because switch mode power supplies contains some very high voltages.
Right, TV is getting worse, taking longer to fire up, but now I have time on my hands to sort it out. Any tips or guides how to do this?

Or a good supplier of a replacement PSU for me to fit? It is a 32PG6000

I have a 32 inch LG plasma that occasionally goes black screen. Turn it on and off a few times and it's ok. Tbh it's done it occasionally since new but 3 years later and it's slightly worse. Sounds similiar issue...?!
Yes, that like the kind of issues the TV's are having.

I guess this is the fix it kit/instructions people are talking of?

I had similar on my 50" Samsung, it is a very easy self repair if you are not scared to use a soldering iron.

Google bulging capacitors.
Yup, spot on. Gave money to someone on fleabay who sent me the replacement capacitors and instructions. 2 out the 3 capacitors had bulged. I know if I bought the capacitors from a supplier would have cost me not much, but I had the TV fixed within an hour, so it was worth it IMHO.
