Sanyo projector not working

I've got a second hand Pro Xtrax multiverse projector that has been working fine for ages but has recently stopped working properly. It powers up ok, and when plugged into my computer displays as it should for about 30 seconds then the display goes blue. The only way to get it to display again is to turn it off, wait until it has powered down fully and try again, 30 seconds of display and back off. Anyone shed any light on something I can do or do I need a new projector?

Just tried it with another computer and it seems to work fine (or for more than 30 seconds anyway) so I presume it's something to do with the output from the computer. It's a Macbook Pro if it's any help.
