SKY TV Sender

Evening,

Need SKY on a TV upstairs, however the TV is on the wall with all associated wiring concealed, so I am unable to run a multi-room box as I dont want cables everywhere.

In the past we have used e-links which were ok. However nowadays on 1080p TVs the e-link doesn't cut it.

Are there any RELIABLE senders out there, which support the remote and dont cost the earth?

edit - found this product on amazon, which sounds perfect. However it costs the earth, any alternatives or do I need to spend this much dollar to get HD transmitted?

Having experienced several senders in the past I wouldn't completely trust them (although that one does seem to get good reviews)

It might not be brain surgery in a typical run of the mill 3 bed semi or whatever. But for me a cable isn't going to be an option due to the design and layout of the house! Don't for one second think I want to go and blow £200 on a sender unit, If I could patch a cable through I certainly would.

I'll do some more reading up, reviews sound good, But I would like to spend less if possible. If it was £100 I wouldn't hesitate. But £215 is a lot of cash.

where does the tv get its signal feed from at the moment? If it is using a digital aerial in the loft, why not stick a multi room sky box in the loft, patch it in to the aerial cable and then plug the magic eye in to the back of the TV. Sky multiroom with no wiring in the room in question, and the multi room box hidden in the loft.. You may need to get an electrician to source a non lighting power circuit for you in the loft though (to power the sky box).

Ah that's a good shout. Ill have to check when I get the place - Im looking to complete next week.

Unfortunately I agreed a deal on the house as construction was just finishing, so I didn't have the chance to get them to rig it up properly for me.
