When we record something via the sky+ HD box and then play it back the audio will skip, as in no sound for a couple of seconds, then it's ok for a bit, then it does it again. Is this a sign that the box is on its way out,or is there something I can try myself.
Finally got round to contacting Sky about this. They sent an engineer who confirmed it was a known fault with early HD boxes. Box was replaced for free and we got a new remote too as ours was so tatty.
Did you have an ins policy with them, how old was your box.
