We're finally getting this tv wall mounted (only been 18 months sat in the box upstairs!!)

Samsung UE40ES6710
http://www.electronicworldtv.co.uk/40-samsung-ue40...

Also have a BluRay surround sound system to go with it, but not sure what other wires would be worth routing while the guys here sorting it out?

Here's the BluRay player, SAMSUNG HT-ES6600
http://www.whathifi.com/samsung/ht-es6600/overview

I'd like surround sound with our sky hd box so I'm guessing I connect an optical cable from the sky box to the bluray player? Or does this go from sky box to tv?

What other wires would be worth routing here as it's something we want to really fit & forget? What's the red/white/yellow RCA type cables used for?

Was thinking an additional HDMI as there's the extra slot, maybe a USB cable for the iPod and my be another usb cable for my seagate satelite media player (if it even connects?...no idea if it'll work with the tv?)

Another wires worth getting?

Thanks for the reply, I'll try what you've suggested smile

Yeah it's just a pretty basic system but wanted the speakers to work with sky aswel as the bluray and wasn't sure what extra wires we'd need/to go where.

So basically need to route 3 hdmi's (but one won't be used yet) antennae and the red/white audio cables through the wall then a short optical cable from bluray to sky box and that should be it?

Annoying thing here is I had some decent surround sound kit plus free standing warfedale's and a big Yamaha amp I wanted to set up last year but she wouldn't have it so they got sold for peanuts and we bought this thing instead!! Looks nice but can't see it being as good as the old one frown

All done smile

Just routed the 3 hdmi's & cat 5 cable under the skirting board (tight fit!!!) then the optical cable between the Blu Ray & sky box and it's working great.
