40 inch tv to be mounted flat to a wall

I'm looking for a 40 inch tv to mount to a wall in my new apartment so ideally as slim as possible and the hdmi/power cables in a good spot to be routed down the hole which will be cut into the wall,

ideally a good viewing angle and visibility too! (lots of natural light will be in the apartment)

Pretty much any flat screen will mount on a wall particularly as plasma is not really an option any more.

Also, budget?

the problem is there's simply not a decent location to place the TV and the apartment isn't huge so it has to go on the wall - with the boxes etc in the other room.

the samsung 8000 series was nice and slim at 29mm and would barely protrude from the wall but it's been discontinued so I'm currently trying to seek out a replacement

It'll be located in the same spot as where the 'fancy seeing you here' frame is

Are you going to be doing the chasing yourself?

you can get mounts that are extendable but folds to <35 mm against a wall.

for the TV I'm fairly certain I want a Samsung UE40ES8000 (second hand/ex demo) due to it's slim profile (30mm deep) and for the bracket the accompanying slim samsung mount (35mm sounds alright though)

I've not really thought about budget but it's not too much of an issue.

I was going to pay someone to do the chasing, all hdmi cables etc will be routed to a different room along with IR relays.

Do you have pics of what you've done?
