evening chaps, my trusty telly has just thrown a wobbly on me and is refusing to come on.

currently its just sat there with the power indicatore flashing/blinking repeatedly.

the preceeding usage was as per usual, an output for my laptop which I was using to listen to some music. I turned it onto the powersaver mode (screen off but still outputs the audio) but when I went to get the picture back it made a repeated very faint buzzing sound from the back of the telly itself and went intk its current state of doing the usual red power light flashing; but instead of then coming on, it loops through the flashing/blinking cylce ad infinitum.

just bought a house so pretty skint at the minute so a cheap fix is desired if possible.. and also it has a lovely picture when working so another set isnt wanted tbh.

the telly itself is an lg 37LH5000 - ZB.BEKVLJG serial no. 910WRVZ8E431

Any and all help is very much appreciated chaps and beers can be awarded accordingly lol :-)

100% this - my own TV has died the same way and after a bit of research this is almost certainly the issue
so i'm assuming i have to take it to bits and look for anything physically 'iffy'?

how easy would it be to change one of those capacitors if that is whats wrong? bearing in mind im a mechanical technician by trade and only have a vague (very vague) understanding of how to go about electronics repairs....

bit more history actually....

the telly developed a habit of being slightly un-user-friendly when turned on if left switched off for 12 hrs or more (give or take)...

manifested itself as the top part of the screen being flickery and the picture freezing, not unlike when windows 'hangs' if doing a big task etc. but would gradually get better after ten minutes or so...
