Which Freeview HD PVR, one that doesn't lock

Been tasked by the mother in law to buy her a new recordable Freeview box, as current one (an old Humax SD 9300) keeps locking and freezing requiring a reboot.
Her requirements are twin tuners and HD plus around 500gb or bigger hard drive.
I've spent some time looking at the ones Currys sell and then looking at reviews. It appears that the HUMAX HDR-2000T still has a lot of lock up issues according too the reviews on Amazon. I thought they would have sorted that by now
I went through Panasonic the Logik and none of them came out very well in terms of reliability, unless just unhappy people write reviews of course.
So, turning to PH, any recommendations, or any knowledge that Humax are overstated? Ideally one that can be installed and then left to work without having to switch it on and off every few hours!
