Smart TV or apple TV/amazon prime
Discussion
We've just moved to the US and need at least 1 new TV. We've been looking and are looking to pay less than $1000 including taxes as we don't know how long we will be here. Need something about the 60-65 inch size
First question is:
Some of the software on the SMART TV's does not get good reviews. Is it best to buy apple tv/Roku or similar? This looks like a good option as then we don't have to sign up to a TV package
We've looked at LG 65" Class 1080p Smart LED HDTV w/ webOS™ 2.0 - 65LF6300 as a potential TV and it has good reviews on-line
If looking at a SMART TV, we have seen and like the picture on Sharp AQUOS HD - 60" Class (60-3/32" Diag.) - LED - 1080p - 120Hz - Smart - HDTV
Anything else we should consider or any other good options (We looked at Vizio and RCA which were both cheap and not good quality.
Thanks for any advice

Thankyou for the responses. We're in Georgia, North of Atlanta and looked in BestBuy yesterday and there were a few options. Sounds like most people favour the apple TV/Roku approach which I think would work for us. We don't know how long we will be here in the US, but taking the TV with us and using a step down transformer (I've got a couple already) is a good option.
