55" LED - Samsung or Panasonic

Need help deciding on which goggle box to get for the parents. Like myself, they have had a history of Panasonic Plasmas; PW6,8 PH10, and Viera's but now they want something bigger.

Budget is circa £800 and I've found two from 2014 that seem to tick the box. Worth noting that 4K isn't necessary as they won't have any content, and there certainly isn't a need for gaming spec.

I'm thinking:

Samsung UE55H6400
Panasonic tx-50ax802b

Other than flipping a coin I'm not sure I can choose between them.

Thoughts?

Noticed a typo on my original post, that Panny should have read TX55 rather than 50!

Not sure I'd buy one from anywhere other than Richer Sounds or John Lewis but that said stock is getting scarce now.
