Audio from Amazon Fire stick to Stereo Amplifier?
Discussion
I currently have a 8/9 year old 42" LG 1080p LCD TV hooked up to a Virgin Box and PC based media centre.
Both the Virgin Box and Media Centre are hooked up by RCA cable to my Marantz PM 4400 amp feeding some classic Tannoy speakers.
However, I want to get rid of the huge, noisy, unreliable PC media centre and go with a Amazon Fire stick with Kodi installed on it.
However - the Fire stick doesn't have any audio out and my TV only has an optical audio out.
I've tried a couple of optical to RCA converters and they don't work.
So do I upgrade to a AV recover which accepts a optical in or upgrade my TV with RCA or headphone jack out?
Thanks!
