In-laws insist on watching everything in SD?

Bonkers.

When my in-laws stay over at my house I let them watch their normal soaps and stuff as I am not interested in those programmes and have better things to do but whenever I give them the remote they will actively skip over the BBC HD channel to find the standard def channel.I remember asking them why some time ago and they said something like they don't go in for all that new fangled stuff and the 'real' BBC channel is perfectly fine for them.

Now they don't have bad eye sight and they both have laptops and smartphones and while I would not say they were tech savvy they certainly know how to use technology. They also paid out 1500 on a 55" 4k TV about a year ago and yep they watch SD on that as well. Can anyone explain this odd behaviour?

I know it shouldn't bother me but I does offend my eyes when I see my lovely OLED with such a dreadful quality picture.

Just set the TV back to HD when they popped to the shops.

I went out for a run for 30mins, came back and its back on SD again.

They are having a go at me aren't they? Is it possible to purge my Skybox of SD channels? I can honestly say I will never ever watch an SD channel.
