I'm not sure if this should be in Home Cinema & Hi-Fi or Homes, Gardens and DIY. smile

The TV (40-inch weighing 9.1 kg/20 pounds with VESA 100 fitting) has to be positioned at one end of an external wall of plaster over thermal blocks. Ideally, the mount needs to both tilt and swivel because of the TV position in relation to the viewing position/furniture/windows/doors. I'd prefer the wall plate to be as large as possible to spread the load over multiple fixing points.

There's a huge range of prices for superficially similar mounts.

Any recommendations for a particular mount, or at least a manufacturer and/or type of mount (e.g. plate or framework bolted to the TV, single or double arm), at a reasonable cost?

EDIT: I should add that it won't need to be moved once it's been adjusted to the required position.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I was about to ask about the best fixings in Homes, Gardens and DIY. smile

It's not "dot & dab" or plasterboard over battens, but I suppose that Rigifix will still work?
