Not sure if others have seen this. In essence free BT Sport for 6 months to EE customers that have pay monthly contracts, then £5 per month thereafter.

It appears that you need to have an EE SIM enabled device, be it phone or tablet, where you upload the BT Sport app. Does anyone know whether you can switch the viewing from these app's onto a smart TV? Or is it only for a device?

Thanks G

Anyone used this yet? Downloaded app, works fine, however so much contradiction around whether Apple TV or chrome cast works for streaming.

If you wish to view on TV at at home, have you investigated KODI ? Assuming you have a reasonably quick internet connection, an Android KODI box will allow you to watch BT sport, and just about every TV station on the planet, with no fee. All BT Sport channels, all Sky channels, all Eurosport channels, all ESPN channels etc etc

Addons like UKTV Again or LiveMix give you access to over 45 different sports channels including the above for no monthly fee, ever. Just a one off payment of between £25 and £30 for the box.

You're able to HD stream, via addons like Exodus or iStream, just about every movie ever made, with no fee. Worth a look....
Thanks, I already have Sky Q, Netflix etc, don't want another box. Just wanted a quick and easy way of streaming it onto the TV, rather than on the iPhone/iPad. It sounds like potentially Chromecast may work.

I have a samsung phone and a samsung smart TV. I took up the offer of free 6 months BT sport with EE and I was able to view the output from the EE app on the Samsung TV. I am not sure if you can do it with other phone/TV combos though.
Thanks Smashie, I noticed that Samsung do screen mirroring, however need a Samsung device to undertake this. I have an iPhone, with my EE sim, so will not work.

The actual BT sports app is pretty dire. I have fast unlimited fibre in my home, however the app would either freeze or the footage would rewind itself over and over again. I had to keep shutting down the app and re-start. Then again, it is free..
