Sonos speaker location

Hi chaps,

After a bit of advice regarding what and placement of Sonos Speakers. Just going through an extension at the moment mainly extending our kitchen further out and also adding a 'snug' behind the current lounge. It basically looks like this. It will be quite a nice size room once finished.



The rest of our house is already Sonos'd up in some shape or form (for instance I have a connect linked to my amp and floor standers in the lounge, bedrooms have Play 1's etc). However I'm wondering what to do in the extended kitchen/snug area and what to get.

I was initially thinking a couple of play 5s for the whole area (not sure on placement) but now I'm wondering if it would be better to separate the kitchen/diner with one group of speakers then add more to the snug area (bit behind the lounge with the TV/Sofa). Someone at work mentioned getting a Connect:AMP then using 4 ceiling speakers run off it.

Just wondered what you guys would go for?

Thanks both, was thinking play 5's either side of the bi-fold in the kitchen area pointing into the kitchen, then as you suggest a Playbar under the TV with possibility (at a later date) of a couple of Play 1's for surround.

Not sure if the Play 5's are over kill and whether it's better to have them pointing in towards the kitchen area or have them on the other side facing down the extension to towards the tv area.
