I've got an Amazon Echo, but looking to add the dots to other rooms, and I want to retain the totally hands free system. Does anyone know of any speakers or soundbars that can wake on receiving a 3.5mm input signal? I've tried in Curry's/Hughes etc, but I've only got blank looks.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks. Any soundbars that may do this?

I connect to a Bose Soundlink via Bluetooth with my dot works great, instant connection and no delays

The Bluetooth must be strong as I can move the speaker all over the house, running on its battery power, yet it remains connected the dot

Do you have to turn it on beforehand though? Takes away from the purpose of a dot if you have to switch the speaker on first?
