Buying a flat screen TV

Thinking about buying a new flat screen TV aound 46 to 50 inches.

Any advices on

Flat vs curved
Best brands (was leaning towards a Samsung)
key features (ie must have)
Best places to buy
Any other advice or suggestion welcome

I did look exactly at this one which seems a vey good one also with a relatively low price.

Still I have read that companies are stopping building curved tv and they have potential problems with light reflections vs flat

Also read that some have issues with using services like netflix etc so was curious to hear about experiences
