The Connect Amps are a hefty price increase of £100 on RRP! Ouch.

Seriously looking at Yamaha MusicCast as an alternative. Same price, sounds better, save money as it is built into thier Surround Sound Amps.

I am seriously tempted to sell off all my sonos and go either Yamaha or my own Chrome Custom solution.

I think Yamaha's MusicCast is pretty good, looks nicer, sounds better and BT built it.

And now it's going to be cheaper!

We've done a couple of installs with the yamaha's now and really like them.

There are plent of ChromeCast alternatives that report to have AirPlay built in.

I fitted some Gramophon units late last year and they worked really well with Spotify and streaming from my iPhone.

Pretty certain that you can mute the different zones in a group independently. But the sub won't actually appear as part of the group, as it will be considered inclusive as part of what it is paired to.
