I have some naim hifi equipment as well as a muso.

Also have some sonus stuff and currently pondering what to get for our gym.

I have some old mission 732 bookshelf speakers i would like to bring out of storage.

Naim have announced a few new items one is the Stat player. Its a cd player ripper network player and amp. So looks good and reasonable value for Naim considering what that standalone streamers cost.

The more reasonable alternative is a sonus amp as have more sonus the main hifi has a sonus connect running to its dac.

Question is i visited a local hifi shop yesterday to ask them for suggestions and they said they would not buy naim atm as the company is going through some financial issues. There is nothing on line about this but it's concerning as these products rely on are market software updates and is the big reason i like sonus.

Has anyone else heard anything about this?

I was surprised given their big new product announcements

thanks for replies bad typos as original post was on my phone.

yes i mean the Star not the Statement.

Its not a Naim authorised dealer so i think thats prob why they were badmouthing the Naim.

Its a home gym so not a huge space however will prob be the one place i can regularly turn the music up despite the main lounge system being a lot better.

I am thinking to either get a Sonos Amp, or use my current Connect which feeds a DAC-V1 into an old Audilab 8000A we have and find something better for the main lounge system.

The problem is finding a good streamer for the lounge to replace the Connect if i go that route as the new Naim products are all multibox solutions and the older Naim streamers do seem a little overpriced and dated compared with the new ones.

If Naim are going bust then I hope I get my uniti Nova before they go. It'll no doubt become a collectors item smile

I have a muso, I like the sound and it has the benefit of both looking good and having a very good app through which I run tidal. Makes accessing music so much easier. I've px'd all my old cyrus kit to help fund the Nova. When I was dusting it off I realised I'd not used it in 5 years.
that Nova is superb value i think if it had been out before i would certainly have gone for that over the Supernait2 amp i have which while being very good i would bet the Nova does well enough as an amp with t state of the art streaming system and DAC

im kinda stuck now as i do not want to spend that much on something that i just want to provide a digital signal to the DAC as i do think digits are digits and Naim dont really offer anything that will do this for a reasonable price

had a think and decided on the Naim Atom due in May to drive the Mission 732s, which will link in nicely with the Muso in the study next door.
