Help please!

Have just bought a new tv - Panasonic TX-P42S20B and very nice it is too.

Unfortunately, my lad's Playstation3 is no longer working/connecting to it.

I had used an HDMI cable to connect it to the old telly, a fairly modern LCD Panasonic 32' and all was very simple - HDMI cable out of PS3 and into TV. That unfortunately doesn't work with the new TV and I am just getting a blank screen and no sound. Checked everything by re-connecting to the old tv and all was well. PS3 does not like any of the 3 HDMI connections on the new tv though.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Many thanks.

Thanks. Yeah, I tried that but still all I got was a blank screen and no sound.

I do find it strange that it works perfectly in the other TV. Think I'll have to dig the other connectors for the PS3 out of the loft and see if I can connect it that way and play around with the settings. I'll also try connecting the DVD player using the HDMI cable to see if there is any problem with the HDMI connector on the telly.

Any other ideas would be appreciated!

I did try each of the 3 hdmi ports in the tv and selected the correct one on the remote. Will ensure viera link is switched off and try again when I get home.
Thanks for the suggestions.

All fixed!
Dug out the other connectors for the ps3 and plugged the White, red and yellow cables into av3 on the side of the tv. Turned the ps3 on and it came on screen automatically on hdmi 1with a prompt screen noting hdmi connection available and asking if I wanted to use the hdmi connection.
Why using the other connectors triggered this will remain a mystery to me!
Unplugged the av3 leads and it still works fine.
Thanks again.
