Rega system

Hi , I've got an old Rega circa 1998 set up (CD,amp and speakers) which is currently sitting in my workshop. I'm thinking of using the system again and am planning on just bringing it indoors and letting the unit acclimatise to the house and then plug it in.

Is this the best way or should I get the units serviced before connecting up ? The set up hasn't been used for about 7 years or would it just be better for me to get rid and just buy a new system ?

Yes , it's the planet CD player. I think a little trip to the workshop to get them is on the cards.

I guess I can safetly open them up as it's not as if they're still under warranty !
