Thanks to a suspected slave cylinder going for the third time in a tad over 1,000 miles, the only possibility of the Tuscan getting to Burghley is on the back of a flat bed.
Having had a new clutch, and a new slave, and several new slave seals, I am left to ponder the TVR foibles of my particular car, whilst all my mates will be enjoying the Rutland Rumble and glory of Burghley. If anyone has had a recurring slave cylinder issue, please PM me, as my tether is wearing thin

If the MOT bod doesn't play silly buggers with the emissions should be OK. MOT retest booked for Sat after my first attempt failed yesterday on minor issues (loose fog bulb, low disk pads, handbrake efficiency too low) all fixed now bar the front pads. I have put some cats in so fingers crossed (the first test was just to give me a working list for tomorrow when it has to pass).
Drove to Snetterton and back yesterday and did 100 miles on track, so that's the road test done.
Managed to re-attached the oil pressure sender connector this morning, so we DO have oil pressure
Just need to wash and polish it now, get the track tyre marks off the upholstery, and manage not to notice the stone chips and mouse chewed carpets.
Ho hum...

Bringing the Vixen this time
All ready heading off at 12 from Canterbury to get up late afternoon a few little spring jobs done today ready for the run and Oil and filter change today after the first 250 miles running her in
Running the engine in so not doing and runs as running in and keeping up with other cars is not fun but a great chance to finish running her in

Errrmmmm sore subject
If your not fixed up with one of your many fans, do you fancy a ride round in Looney Tunes, Alex? Roof WILL be off, so bring coat and wooly hat.....You'll have the car back on the road soon, and then you too will be buying shares in Shell.....
Bloody close call now down at parents in Carlby (5 miles from Stamford) however discovered the MOT ran out on the 13th of March at 1230 this afternoon....
Luckily a mate come good and it passed with only 1 advisory for the handbrake effectiveness
So see you on the run tomorrow or at Burghley on Sunday

The Cerb is crying out for new coolant pipes, but just haven't gotten round to it yet. We'll be there with lots of water for top ups!
Nearly three years ago I temporarily repaired a large hole in one of my coolant pipes with epoxy body filler. It's never troubled me since.ukkid35 said:

Thanks Paul! I am using going to smother everything in Vaseline tomorrow (ooh matron!), in the hope it will slow things down a touch. Could be worth seeing if we have some filler on the shelf. I've been out and filled the car ready for tomorrow am - a 7.30 start is scheduled so up at 6.30.
Decided to give the car a wash (not sure why as it will no doubt have plenty of road dust on it when I arrive) so washed it down and dried it off. Left it out to dry properly and then went out to back it into the garage and as I got in the car it decided to pour down. Literally 10 seconds earlier and it would have been in the garage before it rained (the rain was only 10 seconds as well!) - so dried it down yet again .... one of those days but will be worth it tomorrow.
See you all there
Jim
