High Peak TVR, Sports & Classic Meet 1pm, Sun 28th Dec 2014
Discussion
Well Folks,
This will be the last gathering of the "Nomads" this year, so it'll be worthwhile getting out of the house, away from all that festive excess of turkey & telly for a change, and meet up at this pleasant place. At 1pm it will still be daylight, what with the days getting longer by then, so no excuses!
A bit of fresh air will do us all good.
Venue is The Travellers Rest, Bradwell, Hope Valley, S33 9HG.
Bonus points will be awarded if you arrive by TVR, and if you can't come topless, then just wear your most gaudy Xmas jumper
We shall be having a vote on which is best, and who knows, there may even be a prize
All are welcome, see you there
Edited to add the venue....... DOH!

Well, it was a beautiful crisp sunny day, a clear blue sky, and the views driving topless along Rushup Edge and down Winnats Pass were amazing.
The roads were passable with care, although some people were making things difficult by inconsiderate parking in awkward places, so I was a little late getting to the Travelers Rest.
Our RO Richard & Christine were there in the 2500M, Kev arrived just after Austin & me, and Peter from Sheffield arrived a bit later. Kev had been unable to bring his Chim as the lane to his garage was impassable, so he brought the Citroen instead. Peter reported sighting a Chimaera passing through Bradwell. Whoever it was, it was a shame to miss joining us.
I was disappointed to find myself the only one sporting a ridiculous Xmas jumper and could hardly award the prize to myself, so Richard became the lucky recipient as reward for all his efforts as our RO
Over a splendid lunch & refreshing beverages, we hatched a few plans for the New Year ( my diary is getting pretty full already! ) and the time flew. Pretty soon it was time to leave.
The sun was getting low, turning the snow-blanketed hills a lovely shade of pink against the blue sky, above thin veils of mist in the valleys. All the surrounding countryside looked like a Christmas card scene. Awesome!
The drive home was one of those special ones that I will remember for a long time. ( but I was soooo glad I had my ridiculous Xmas jumper and thermal pink onesie to keep me warm! )
Don't miss our next High Peak meet on Sunday 25th January!
Watch this space for further details.
A Very Happy New Year to you all.
