Herts / Beds Chatsworth 2010

Hi guys, I am thinking of travelling up from Knebworth this year to the Chatsworth Gathering on the 24th/25th April. I was going to look for a B&B / Hotel in the Bakewell area for the saturday night, so we can park the car up, have a pint and a meal or curry. Anyone interested in tagging along, i would like to attend the run out on the Saturday afternoon and the Gathering at Chatsworth House on the Sunday before heading home.

Anyone recommend a B&B or hotel?

Hi guys, great to see some interest in attending this event from our region. My Mrs hates the TVR so i will be driving up alone. Let me know your thoughts on a B&B / Hotel, so we can get booked up. My preference would be to be in the Town of Bakewell or another local town and for a secure car park.

3 x single rooms @ £65.00 room incl breakfast
3 x Double rooms @ £80.00 room incl breakfast

My plan is to travel up on the saturday morning, find somewhere for some lunch, join in the run through the peak district, check in to hotel, shower and maybe a curry or some food, then Chatsworth on the Sunday before heading for home.

Hoover, yeah will be good to catch up, Thunder was a disaster for me....didnt have sat nav, followed someone who did, who got lost and with 1 hour we were sat at the Ace havin a full english...i think we was the first group in..wont make that mistake again.

I intend to join the TVR Car Club Chatsworth Gathering Derbyshire Run, which is leaving Chatsworth Calton Lees Car Park at 11.00am. I think it will take us 2.5 hours to get from the BP service area at Brampton Hut to the start point. So we will need to leave the services at 8am (leaving us spare half hour) to get to the start point in plenty of time.

I will be at the BP Service area (Brampton Hut) A1m / A14 at 7.30am to have a quick coffee before leaving at 8.00am to get to the Chatsworth Start point.

7.30am Arrive BP Service area (Brampton Hut) A1m / A14
8.00am Leave BP Service area (Brampton Hut) A1m / A14
10.30am Arrive Calton Lees Car Park Chatsworth
11.00am Leave Calton Lees Car Park Chatsworth with the rest of the car club on the run
12.15pm Lunch Stop The Bear Inn Alderwasley
3.00pm Arrive back at Calton Lees Car Park Chatsworth

Then head off to Manor House Hotel to Check In and have a few beers with fellow Tivvers.

Nice one, I think we will be too far behind you guys to meet up with you. We will see what time we get to the Tibshelf (Road Chef) Service area, if we are there about 8.45 ish then we will pull in and catch up with you guys. Are you doing the run?
