TVR`s needed for car show

I have been asked to organise a maximum of 6 cars for a car show being held on Sunday 2nd May at the Royal Farms, Windsor Farm Shop in the grounds of Windsor Castle.

this event is being organised by the team that do the Isle of Wight Classic Car Show, so it should be a well attended event from all types of vehicles, here is the official blurb........


"Classic cars from all over the UK and beyond will descend on Old Winsdor for a spectacular charity classic car event on Sunday 2nd May from 10 am to 4.30 pm.

This event will attract a variety of up to 250 vehicles from vintage and classic to custom and retros.
In addition to the classic vehicles on display, there will be two iconic Routemasters from the Cobham Bus Museum that will for a small donation, ferry spectators and exhibitors from the Windsor Farm Shop to Windsor town center and back throughout the day.

Parking and entrance to site will be free to all exhibitors and visitors."


I know this is only a week after Chatsworth, but hope that I can get 6 tvr`s that would be able to attend, if you fancy it then add yourself to the list, and pm me your registration number, as I need to submit details of entries before 15th March.

its a first come first served basis, nearer the time I will sort out a suitable meeting point close to the venue so that we can all turn up together at the show.

I`ve been in touch with the organisor of the show this afternoon and have asked for more spaces, he will be meeting with the powers that be about extra parking ect for the show next week, so I will know wether we can get anymore than the 6 alocated slots we already have.

they want to have a wide variety of cars on show, so I have asked if we can have one of each model TVR as a way of increasing the numbers, without having several griff, chims or cerbs ect, so if you have a model that is not on the list already then let me know and I will do my best to get the extra spaces.

this is the first time that this show is being held at Winsdor, if it proves successful then next years show could be able to cater for over 1000 cars, so fingers crossed as all would be very welcome I`m sure.

right, just for an update, we can show one of each model, so I am just after someone with a Tamora to make the set, I`ll post up on the tam forum to gauge any interest.

just had a chat on the phone with the event organisor, and he can now open this up to 20 cars, so if anyone on the reserve list is interested pm me.

this to be honest is probably in view of the rain that has been forecast for sunday, which no doubt will reduce the number of cars attending, but I will be giving it a go, brolly and coat in the boot, sunglasses at the ready just in case the forecasters are wrong, it has happened before

well what can I say, a total wash out but really impressed with the number of tvr`s that turned up considering the really bad weather.

good to meet some new faces, and catch up again with knight, tvrtuscans,and dead spider, thanks to everyone who braved the elements, such a shame that the rain never seemed to let up, and most others who were going to exhibit obviously stayed away as well, perhaps if the sun was out it could have been an enjoyable day

you win some you loose some I suppose

just got home to find Liverpool lost again as well
