New Trailer. Highlights includes Daleks, Lots of Daleks. Robot saying in a very nerdy voice "We're very cross with you". The Doctor, Rory and Amy riding a Triceritops. AND....

Rory. "Who killed all the Daleks?" Doctor Carrying Amy "Who do you think?"

It was on BBC3 in July. The Series Started with the Doctor being killed on a beach in Utah by a Spacesuit. Then Re-appearing as he had "summoned Himself" to a cafe Rory, Amy and River had retreated to.

It Finished with Him being "killed" on the same beach, but not before showing River (who was in the Spacesuit), That the "Doctor" was in the Tessalator, a Spaceship that could look like any person it touched. Hence althougth the "Doctor" was "killed" and they thought they were burning his body he merely was a little warm. The last Scene saw the head of Dorium being delivered back to it's resting place by the "Doctor" Asking the Question that will be asked at the "Fall of the eleventh on the fields of Trenzador" and must never be answered.

Doctor WHO?.

Who caused the Tardis to explode is still open to question. SM keeps hinting at a solution but that hasn't happened yet. "Silence will fall" was expanded to "The Silence will fall when the question is asked". The question being "Doctor Who?"

Oswin was on her first trip, Going to see the universe. I cannot see the Doctor taking a Dalek as a companion and She is seen in the clips and photos thus far as Human. The Doctor would have to intercept her before she joins the Alaska but Moffat is really starting to throw a few curve balls. I suspect that when filming they would not even know "Who" it was they were supposed to be talking to.

There also seems to be BIG gaps in-between the episodes in this season. They concentrate on his visits to Amy And Rory until they leave in "Angels take Manhattan".

Yet Again we hear "Doctor Who?" that may become significant.

Clara Oswin as she will be known according to some sites. In "Aslyum" she was known as Oswin Oswald. Surely some relative?

Enjoyed the episode. One of the better Stand alone episodes. "Doctor Who?" Continues. SM has said that there isn't a Grand story arc this year. But like the Doctor He does lie.

And the Indian Space Agency knew about the "Doctor". So Earth still "remembers" the Doctor, he's just forgotten in the rest of time and space. David Bradley played a really unpleasant Pirate in this episode and the Doctor has no qualms about letting him die either. An interesting development from Tennent's Vengeful but generally non-lethal Doctor.

I would say that Many of the Doctors have "failed" to give the Villain an "out". However Tennant's Doctor tended to be more merciful than most. I disagree that Solomon "Had done little" to deserve his fate. He had mercilessly slaughtered the Silurians. Hence the Doctor giving Solomon very little chance. Don't forget the Doctor has dealt with Silurians favourably before and they generally listen to reason.

The Daleks were reborn in the "Victory of the Daleks" where it was explained that they escaped the Time lock but had no power and could not create more Daleks because the "Progenitor" would not recognise their DNA as it "polluted" by Davros's DNA. The Doctor confirmed they were Daleks and the "Progenitor" would then create the "new" Daleks nobody liked.

"A Town called Malice" addresses the Doctor's new ruthless streak and we need to take note of the Doctor's age?

I've also noticed that "Commander Strax" is in the Christmas Special. Perhaps something to do with the Doctor's Age as He died at "Demon's Run". We also seem to have a "Jenny" "Jenny Who?" you may ask?

Interesting - I wondered if she would re-appear - Would be neat if they tied the family tree together and explained the grand-daughter that travelled with the Doctor (incarnation no.3 - Jon Pertwee)
Er.. you do realise that The "Jenny" that is in the Christmas Special is the one that accompanied Madame Vastra (the Silurian woman with the swords) in "A Good Man Goes to War" and not the one from "The Doctor's Daughter", don't you?
Makes it even more interesting! So could we be returning to "Demon's Run"? Will the Weeping Angels cause somebody to shift time? Did Oswin perform an "Emergency Temporal shift" or transport to the Dalek Crucible hiding in plain sight. Will Amy end up turning into a Dalek because she is still infected with the Dalek nanogenes and try and kill the Doctor? All will be revealed at Christmas.

Also do not forget that River Song already knows the end of this saga so her appearence in "Manhattan" cold be a bitter sweet one.

Somebody must have noticed that the "Doctor Who" logo changes every episode? The Doctor has aged as well. He was 903 in the Impossible Astronaut and 1,103 as the "Doctor"/Teselecta. He's now 1,200 Years old. The Pond's are also getting further "out of time" and we appear to be somewhere between 2015 and 2018 in the Pond's timeline. As the Ponds spend time with the Doctor and keep returning to where thy were picked up, the Pond's are worried about how they are ageing faster than their friends. It looks like the Pond's wanting to leave will be down to "practical" issues.

Most of the theories about "Angels in Manhattan" have Rory or Amy "Stranded" there by the Angels in the same way that Kathy Nightingale was put back to the early 1900's in "Blink". I have a problem with this. In that episode the "Doctor" and Martha were also pushed back to the 60's but could return once the Tardis arrived to pick them up. Hence these are not big time events that cannot be reversed. Something will have to happen to make Rory or Amy want to stay.

Stranded in Manhattan?

Didn't River appear there way back when as a small child and regenerate?

Remember? It was a random clip
at the end of an episode a series or two ago?
yes
River re-generated in the late 60's, the rumors have Amy and Rory a bit further back... However River can move around time herself and would she let her Father be torn away from her Mother?

Going back to the plot..... I remember Amy's Glasses from earlier in the series. Has the Doctor been looping back in the Ponds Timeline? Also the Book ends. I doubt we have seen the last of the Ponds, after a break of course. I don't think SM will use them in the same way Rose was.

I was quite surprised in the Xmas preview to see the new girl seems to be Victorian, rather than the space genius she played a few weeks ago. Wonder if they will work in a "family resemblence/ancestor" angle?
Like Gwen in "Torchwood"?
