Anyone else picked up on this yet? (did a search but found no mention of it)

From wikipedia

Hannibal is an upcoming American thriller television series developed by Bryan Fuller for NBC. The series is based on the series of novels by Thomas Harris and will focus on the budding relationship between FBI criminal profiler Will Graham and Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a forensic psychiatrist destined to become Graham's most cunning enemy. The series will premiere on NBC on Thursday April 4, 2013

Hugh Dancy as Special Agent Will Graham, a criminal profiler and hunter of serial killers.
Mads Mikkelsen as Dr. Hannibal Lecter, famed forensic psychiatrist and cannibalistic serial killer.
Laurence Fishburne as Special Agent Jack Crawford, head of Behavioral Sciences at the FBI and Graham's boss

Hannibal - First Look

Definitely piqued my interest, looks to have a solid cast and could be the perfect remedy for the continued disappointment that is 'The Following'.

Anyone else going to give it a go?

I'll have to look into that. thumbup

I'm a bit of a sucker for a good serial killer story, which is why The Following has been rather a let down IMHO. Started with plenty of promise but seems to lack direction.

I'm surprised Hannibal hasn't been more heavily publicised, especially with it being connected to an already very successfull canon of work.

Cheers H, much appreciated.

Edit - Blimey, it's Charlie Bucket. Oh well, never did like the remake anyway.

Enjoyed that.

Thought the casting, atmosphere and cinematography were excellent. The plot itself seemed a little rushed, but that can often happen at the start of a new series as they try and squeeze in as much information as possible to get things moving.

I think Mads Mikkelsen has the makings of an excellent Lecter. Bags of charisma and a genuinely creepy feel to him.

Next episode looks interesting, looking forward to it.

Glad I've got someone to discuss it with smile

Quite surprised at the lack of interest TBH. I would have thought with Lecter being such a popular character more people would have sought it out?

Glad to hear its good.
yes

Well worth a look imho. Suffers a little from the usual first episode problem of trying a bit too hard but definitely shows promise.

Watched Episode 2 at the weekend.

Still very much enjoying the relationship between
Lecter/Crawford/Graham but not impressed so far with the handling/writing of the secondary plot in each episode. Far too rushed and simplistic without any real insight and feels too much like filler so they can drag out the far more interesting key plot. Hope this improves as the series progresses otherwise it could spoil the show for me.

I need to restart this. Watched the first few when it started then gave up.

Mrs asked me about it the other day.
I found the first season dig drag a little in places. Trust me though, Season 2 is amazing and worth the wait.
