I watched the pilot on channel 4 and really enjoyed it. The full series starts tonight at 10pm BBC3 well worth a try if you are channel hopping.

Ha, that would help.

It's a dark comedy about a suicidal man having to look after his nephew who he rarely sees.

I liked it too, and Nick Helm's songs are always a laugh smile
Have you seem him live? If not you should he is absolutely brilliant. I did still have 'Gwen' in my head this morning though.

Not live, but I saw him on Live at the Apollo or something similar. He sang a song for a girl in the front row, and it ended up with him standing right over her screaming "I wanna fk you!!!" over and over hehe
Go and see him, he is brilliant. I saw him first 4 years ago above a pub in Brighton. I was on my own and thought I had chosen a 'safe' seat at the back. unfortunately there were only 6 other people there and he knew them all, so I was his target for the night with him standing on the chair in front of me screaming this at me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubr477hl3gc. Normally I would hate anything like this, but I was in hysterics. As I was leaving he checked that I was OK with it as he thought he went over the top, turns out he directed it at an Italian the night before who ended up in tears as she thought he was calling her fat. Lovely chap.

I haven't enjoyed a British sit com this much for a while. They need to get a wiggle on and commission another series.

I heard the trailers for this on Radio 1 and avoided it as a result. Sounded dire.
Perhaps I was too judgemental.
Give it a go.

[quote=dazzztay] but his Heavy Entertainment was a bit naff I thought.[quote]
It has been commissioned for a series, but agree the editing needed to be improved. The start was the best bit.

Episode 3 was my favourite so far. It was nice to have more of Val, he is a superb character.
