Premier last night on HBO. Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey. First episode was a bit of a slow burning scene setter but I think it's going to be really good. One to watch for.

Second episode bringing things along nicely. Matthew McConaughey is excellent and the dialogue is great. Some excellent gratuitous nudity featuring Alexandra Daddario and a pair of handcuffs to look forward to in this one. wink

I have 'acquired' the first three episodes, not watched them yet, perhaps get around to watching one or two this evening.

For those that are watching The Blacklist - comparable in terms of quality?
Way ahead. Blacklist is unbelievable drivel. This is real life, gritty, raw and brilliantly performed.

We're up to episode 5 and the story has really opened up. Episodes 4 and 5 very strong, building nicely to a climax.

Right then. Do we organise this thread as per others re: UK shows/internetz spoilers or leave it open? Difficult one as people are up to E5 now from the states I believe. If it's an open thread I won't be reading it again that's all! smile
PLEASE USE SPOILERS

I'm watching in the US "real time" but I won't post anything that would spoil it for others.

Starz and Showtime have some good stuff too. The only network drama I have honestly enjoyed in the past year or so was Vegas and that was pretty lightweight. Hostages was ok but too long and a bit silly. BBC America shows some good stuff. They just showed a 4 part series called "Fleming, the man who would be Bond" which I don't think got a showing in the UK? It was pretty good. They also showed Broadchurch last year which I thought was excellent.
