Strictly Come Dancing 2014 (Official Thread)

Well I suppose we'd better kick one of these off as the contestants are starting to be announced on a drip feed. It looks like Frankie Stafford is in.

I thought Claudia was the winner on saturday night - I think i might be a little bit in love with her and I admit i was wrong about her.
she did still used to look like an unmade bed tho. I am sooo fickle.
as for the show, tim and scott should have been in the bottom 2 there was so much wrong with both dances however scott's dance was worse than Tims. Scott had a little stumble early doors and it seemed to throw him completely - he didn't half stomp round a dance that is supposed to be erm...smooth.
marks dance off wasn;t great either but he was still better than Tim who was unbelievably gracious in exit - well done to them both and on to next week....
judy will probably have to spend some time dancing solo in the charleston and i fear for her...she is a bit milfy though...
I found Claudia's antics with the popcorn the week before so spontaneously hilarious. She is a great asset to the show. she did still used to look like an unmade bed tho. I am sooo fickle.

I've not seen this weeks episode yet and will watch it this weekend. I was shocked to hear Thom go, he really should have had a couple more weeks. It is really embarrassing still having Judy and Scott in there and I cringe every time I see them dance. Scott appears as though he has been hurt by the judges comments and wants to go, but can't seem to get voted off.
I think it will be a sigh of relief for him when he does go.
p.s. not having seen the show I am surprised that Ola is going, was that announced this week on the show?

Joking aside, I think "Strictly Come Dancing 2014 (Official Thread)" is probably fine. I think most people are sensible enough to know not to post the results before the Results Show airs; it's common sense. Anyone who does can be dealt with by the mods on an individual basis as necessary.
+1.Poor form posting the results before it has been aired. Given my location I am always a week behind, so as this week was ruined for me, I can post in here now.

And why is Aliona flouncing around in all the camera shots upstairs with Zoe when she hasn't even been in the competition for the last few weeks?
All of the pros are there every week as they have to dance the group routines. But Aliona places herself right up the front, and there is nothing wrong with that I just watched last week's episode and thought that the standard of dancing in general was very high. Sunetra and Caroline's dresses were magnificent too, even if the latter did struggle a bit with it. Does anybody else get frustrated with Caroline's butterfly tattoo?
A great show, and in the results show was Darcy crying whilst standing right at the end as Steve did his round of hugs?

I love how Pasha (sp?) worked losing his fezz into the routine and kicked it away on the beat too. What a pro.
I am a weeke behind, but yes it was good. What I also thought was professional was before he did this he faced the judges and grabbed his head for a hat in alarm to acknowledge it had gone awry, see 42 seconds. Further to this he didn't look down to see where it was when he back healed it, he just knew. Real class.Edited by JonRB on Saturday 29th November 20:01

Caroline is now my favorite, she might not always be as technical as say Pixie, but she is putting more flirty characterisations in to her routine, where as Pixie lacks a bit of warmth on occasions.
My hope is for:
Simon, Frankie, Pixie, Caroline
Simon to go first and Caroline for the win.

I saw a spoiler earlier through a friend of a friend so it's a bit gutting. I normally am very careful to avoid them but this was one of those friend of a friend comments that Facebook helpfully shows you!
Me too. I haven't seen this week yet, but I saw a headline on my feed which ruined it for me, I should know better as I normally black ban looking but it was posted very quickly.I am gutted that Pixie is out, but if this week she was the weakest, then so be it. She was a worthy finalist and I think Mark should have gone before her.
Still rooting for Caroline to win.

Well I've just watched last weeks shows and seen the results (which I didn't know before hand). Jake was the weakest and he had to go. I thought Caroline's Salsa was good, but not as good as her Charleston from the week before, that is the dance of the series for me.
I would have liked to have seen Pixie in the final instead of Mark if I am to be honest though.
I do hope Caroline wins, she has come on strong just at the right time with the right combination of talent, charisma and sex appeal in her dances.

I just watched the final (after avoiding the results online as there is no coverage here in Aus), and I am really happy with the results. Caroline hit her straps just at the right time and was the deserving winner, Simon IMHO should be second and Frankie third. I would have like to have seen Pixie in Mark's spot in the final and a possible third overall if I was going to be honest though.
Caroline's charleston was the best dance of the series for me from an entertaining and technique factor and I thought it was better the first time she did it as she flirted with the audience and judges more in that routine, Simon's Tango was very good from a technical point of view.
I didn't know Caroline had a background in dance, but considering how it took her quite a few weeks to come on strong I don't think it gave her a huge head start, but no doubt she benefited from it as her dance memory kicked back in. Either way I could watch her dance all day, a fantastic all round girl.
Looking back at the footage of Wallace, I initially thought he was saying "utter crap" but now think he is saying "incredible". However I reckon he has a Jeckyl and Hyde persona to him, apparently he gave Aliona some grief. Speaking of which, Aliona looked good in the group routines, obviously married life is doing her well.
I think Caroline is putting out the IOIs to Pasha and would like to take it further, you can see that here, so Rachel had better look out:

I'll watch the Christmas special next weekend. Only 9 more months to go until the next series now...
