Really glad to see this back... I bloody love Sorkin's writing. If only people were this bright and witty in real life!

On catch up / Sky Atlantic if you missed.

I love this too and caught up with episode 1 last night. Really good start to the series, though I was distraught to her the Sky announcer call it 'the last season ever'.

Has it been cancelled? I hate it when good shows like this get canned for seemingly no good reason.
This is indeed the last season.

Jeff Daniels quote

"The problem is that Aaron writes it all by himself, and it's too difficult. He's gotta live up to himself every two weeks with another 80 pages, and it's impossible. To get three seasons out of him and to have the third season be the one where now we really feel like we know what we're doing, I couldn't be more proud of it."

I've been subjected to new stuff like Elemental and Stalker this week. God it's like watching six year old fodder, when compared to Sorkin's writing.

Decent plots, some okay acting and cinematography, but zero screenplay skill... almost comical in its simplicity.

I watched all the first series, couple of the second, seemed to lose interest in the second series, but started watching it again this series. Overall its enjoyable, but sometimes the conversations are almost too quick and snappy, how many people have conversations that fast all the time, sometimes it feels like your watching a emergency room hospital drama.
I sometimes struggle with Slone (I wish!)... she talks really fast.

Loved ep. 2 - laughed a lot.

Interesting stuff about Sloan's (fab) interview on ep5 by Sorkin here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLtiWO9LHHU

This is definitely next on my list to watch, currently re-watching the West Wing on Sky Box sets as I haven't seen it since it first released, its disgustingly good, 40 episodes in a week means I probably have an addiction.

Sorkin really is different gravy.
Be warned... first two eps of season one are pretty manic... it sorts itself out. Season three is top drawer.

I didn't think last night's episode was one of the better ones.
You might want to add some spoiler alerts to that post! smile

Why? It has aired over here.

The convention has always (at least in the time I've reading here) been no spoilers until it has been shown at UK pace i.e. keep schtum if you're torrenting it at US pace.
Only cos the thread title doesn't include the words 'with spoilers'. No big deal.. but previous poster hasn't watched any at all, and is looking fwd to watching ... if they read your post, etc.

It's a shame it's over, I enjoyed all 3 series.
Got better and better. Real shame it's over. Clever last 60 seconds.

Very good programme, always leave folks wanting more.

Anyone recommend anything similar? Done the west wing twice would lie to find something new.
I assume you've done Breaking Bad, True Detective, The Wire and Fargo?

Dexter I haven't watched will give that a whirl. Thanks

Any opinions on House of Cards? That keeps winking at me on Netflx.
Feel free to stop watching Dexter at the end of season 4... it goes downhill to a very sticky end after that.
