I have 2:

1. The opening to Lord of War - truly brilliant.

2. Joe Pesci - Goodfellas - Do I amuse you?... for a little fella he's a bit scary...

"Scenes"

It's a simple plural.

I'm a pedant, but I prefer being right to being liked.

So it's a old Range Rover with a roll cage, some flashing lights and a gun rack. I think I'll pass on it.
And sometimes you're neither.

It's - contraction of "it is". It is correctly used.
I'll - contraction of I will. Ugly, but validly used.
Am I missing the error?

Scene's - just wrong? It is a really thread though.

Weirdly, I think the suggestion of the start of Up is a good one.
Bar scene in Walter Mitty makes me smile
Closing scene in Maltese Falcon
"an" old Range Rover I think!
This.

I don't really care but this silly pedantry pervades PH way too much.

Appalling use of the apostrophe pervades PH too. Easiest way to stop the pedants? Learn how to use an apostrophe.
They alway's find way's. Alway's. You's mu'st agree with thi's a's being one your'self.

How about pedant's ju'st s'top being annoying fools.

Oh, that's so funny. Annoying, maybe. Fools, no.
And I never said I wasn't one. Incorrect use of apostrophes annoys me more than wilful ignorance. But only just.
As I said, the way to get (us) pedants to stop correcting you is to get it right.

Also, why do people who get something wrong become so defensive? You got it wrong, get over it.
Calm down treacle. I really don't care I made a mistake.

Hypocrites like you like to criticise yet I'm fairly sure I wouldn't have to go far back in your history to find errors.

Anyway, back on topic.
