There were enough people tiresomely whining about how bad it was that we could have done this a long time ago, but OK, you got your wish, it's gone.
The BBC has a slot (Sunday evenings, 8pm, BBC2), and an audience (60% male, main demographic groups are "dads and lads" - fathers (age 35-54) and sons (age 7-11) - and males aged 18-35). They want some car-related entertainment. Ideally, you will pitch something with international mass appeal - you will certainly need that if your idea needs the budget Top Gear had.
Anyone pitching any formats currently languishing down near the shopping channels will be locked in Quentin Wilson's crypt after dark.
