After the disappointment of Mad Max recently, I am off to see San Andreas tomorrow evening with SWMBO.

Looking for a bit of action hero escapism and hopefully a storyline this time. Anyone else off to see it or am I the only one who is way too childish smile

... Can't wait for Minions ...

Somehow, I think it is going to be more varied than a one hour weird car chase in one direction, and another one hour wierd car chase back again. At least the lead character may be in the front of the movie rather than invisible, and with any luck there will be one or two other characters that develop supporting roles too.

I'm am hopeful. Will report back.

i expect Shaun the Sheep has a better story line
After an absence of many years, I have only started going to the cinema over the last 9 months. Shaun the sheep is actually the best money I have spent at my local Odeon.

Unlike pretty much every other recent experience, I actually left not thinking that I had wasted a lot of time and money when I could have been doing something enjoyable.

Every action movie cliche you can imagine is in this film.

But, there is a plot, multiple characters developed, a brief baddie of sorts and the film is in your face right from the start for almost 2 hours. As said above, it is so bad it's good. Reality has to be totally suspended as there are just so many impossible things that they want you to believe can happen.

But in the end it was worth the time and ticket price. Yes, we actually enjoyed it.
