I've bought a collection of movie memorabilia. Got some great stuff including some cool Star Wars bits. I'm struggling to identify one piece in particular. It's like a saddlebag made from canvas and leather with what appears to be horsehair (brown) on one side. Various straps and buckles. Looks a little like a tornister.

I think it was likely a prop of some description from the original trilogy. Firstly I was thinking Chewbaccas saddle bag but I think I've eliminated that based on some Google kung fu. Then I was thinking did Stormtroopers ever carry a bag like that maybe whilst on a bantha? Did jawas or Tusken Raiders carry bags like this?

Some pics below. There are no stampings, branding or labels on this at all which lends weight to my theory its custom, likely (based on some of the other bits) a prop.

Can anyone ID?

I identified the imperial heavy blaster prop that I got. Ebay don't let you list any sort of replica firearms even when those replicas are of laser guns. This despite the fact that there are actually loads listed on there, many with bids. Ebay customer service are very difficult people, argue, with. Anyway , check out my resin dlt-19

Whilst carrying out research I've learnt a bit about movie props. Back when Star Wars was made the guy who made the original armour for Stormtroopers was paid to make 15-25 sets. He makes replicas now as do loads of other companies with varying degrees of success. Loads of props were made to last for filming purposes only as in they weren't robust or built for longevity at all.

Another fun fact was the Stormtroopers blaster has painted black kitchen unit handles surrounding the muzzle- this again from the horses mouth- Mr Ainsworth, who made the prop.

I had hoped the heavy imperial blaster pictured was perhaps a screen used prop. This seems unlikely ( though I still want it to be so) these were made from resin as kits apparently then hand aged/finished.

I don't know how you would establish a prop from a 30 year old film was in fact genuinely screen used unless it was handed over by an actor from the film or someone who worked on it. Some of the fan made stuff I've now seen is amazing.
