At times it appears that we can be a critical bunch on here so I thought I would harness the wisdom of the crowd. What ideas for segments/VTs would we like to see on Top Gear/The Three Amigos new show (if Tiff Needell wants to use them for 5th Gear so be it).

My hapeth worth:

-Italian Job: 3 people. 3 minis. Could even get Caine to do a cameo. Can't understand why not thus far? Perhaps city of Turin won't play ball.

-Meet Your Hero - new style review of a classic/modern classic.

-Paris-Dakar: Car, bike truck recreate the original Dakar.

-Nuns on the Run(way): 2 "nuns" with the stig helmet do the car lap, kills the stig off

-Driving Standards: Take driving tests in variety of countries to "compare" driving standards

-Bring back a few "heritage" TG presenters (step forward Edmonds) and pit them against a car full of current presenters. No idea doing what

Better ideas

Monkey Tennis: Chris Harris reviews the Peugeot 205 Roland Garros.
If Partridge can't make it work no one can!

-Highway to Hell: road trips from the most mundane roads in the world.

-Working a night on one of those crews that cones off the road

-Basket weaving with Peter Duncan: Peter takes a light hearted look at the appropriateness of various vehicles from the point of view of the professional basket weaver.

Evans Above: Motorway gantry review segment where Chris visits some of the UKs most loved motorway gantries

thinking of production ideas:

surely there is a lot of mileage in micking taking, relating to the VW dub scene of rusty bonnets and stanced wheels

4 x 4 scene and green lanes- plenty of "tugging each other off" jokes

must admit I loved top gear USA, because the cars were just so much more interesting than a lot of european stuff and the road trips were properly epic.

although I never really knew who the guests were.

must admit its probably hard to come up with more stupid things to do, surely many have been done already ?
I like the slammed idea. Slammed and Canned. Matt and Eddie visit some of the UKs pre-eminent canning facilities in a slammed dub.
