Is The Detectorists coming back for a third series?

As title really. I loved the first two, I can honestly say it's far and away the best tv I've seen in years. I thought I heard it would have a return.

Apparently there is a new series in the can, but airing dates are yet to be announced. I don`t think I`ve met anyone who`s seen it. It was very deserving of it`s awards IMO, but I suppose you can have too much of a good thing. I hope the new series keeps the scale small and parochial, that`s its greatest charm for me.
