What's the story line?
James Keziah Delaney returns to 1814 London after 10 years in Africa to discover that he has been left a mysterious legacy by his father. Driven to wage war on those who have wronged him, Delaney finds himself in a face-off against the East India Company, whilst playing a dangerous game between two warring nations, Britain and America.
Well that continues to both develop and surprise!
Some great performances. For example I like the Gatiss in this - where his involvement in Sherlock was really beginning to grate - and Pryce is perfect. Hayman, Watkins and Kelly are all class too.
Overall Tom Hardy is making some smart moves in getting into codirecting such an impressive work.
Not sure where this is going, but some great black comedy in the twists so far.
