A topical news-comedy show can be done well. The 11 O'Clock Show on Channel 4, spawning Ali G and others, for example.

The Nightly Show would probably benefit from having 2 presenters, plus 2 or 3 supporting acts, to spread the load. Half-an-hour for one person every day is probably too much.

Anyhoo, as others have said, ratings are collapsing for the new show and it is unlikely to get a second series.

Davina is in the Snail in a bikini today. Looks pretty good for 50. Shame her presenting skills are not as good.
