The worst case scenario of a random snatching is by far the least likely scenario to happen. Fingers crossed for a good outcome.

A few people on twitter seem to have taken it upon themselves to try to get a retweet out of every famous person on the site. That's where I saw it first. If it weren't for the BBC news site I'd have called hoax.

anyone watching skynews???
No, I can't think of anything more unpleasant and mawkish than watching a 24hr news channel's reporting of such an event.

You have my sympathies. Presuming they are playing the same bits of footage repeatedly mixed with the occasional photo montage to pad out the fact they have no new news to report?

How can you know? Could well be. Or could be the relative that she knew that also owns the vehicle she got into...

Details?
Have the media managed to dig up evidence that he's a wrongun then? Excellent, that won't prejudice any potential court case at all.

Why do people allow themselves to get so wound up by this? What do you gain by watching this story unfold?

Wouldn't it be healthier to just leave them to it?

It certainly suggests they don't have any really damning evidence against him. If he doesn't get charged then this story gets a lot stranger.

Is the term "not sure" an absolute?

I would say it is the opposite.
I'm not sure he meant to kill her implies he killed her.

Guilty of what?

"Causing death" is not a legal term. He will either be convicted of murder, manslaughter, death through negligence, or he will be found not guilty of anything.

That is what the courts will decide - unless he confesses, of course.
You're being obtuse, Eric. The wording of TC's post implied that he was involved in the death of the girl, his speculation was that he did not commit murder.

In much the same way that TC is accusing rich1231 of persecution, really.
