Realistic for a deal to be struck or not? Or is the 6 months a delaying tactic?

& of course they also want Israel to disarm. Fair, but not going to happen.

All that may be true.
But some on here seem set on proving the USA is as bad as Iran. Now the USA are no angels, but your phrase "more left afterwards as the regime killed may who opposed them" sums it up. How many Americans who oppose the party in power have been murdered by their own government?
As soon as you reset the calendar by circa a couple of centuries for Muslim countries vis-a vis the West for certain things, it all starts to make more sense. They will catch up, as will Africa etc.But some on here seem set on proving the USA is as bad as Iran. Looks like the Saudis are nuclear capable now - albeit not nuclear armed...

Israel would not have been happy whatever the outcome.......
Very true. RoW has come to realise that Israel will never be happy so might as well be ignored. The risk for Israel is that unless it can learn to get along with its neighbours (and non-Jewish residents) it will become increasingly isolated and may eventually be squeezed out of existence.Jimbeaux said:

I am afraid you soon find that third parties magically got their hands on a nuke device. All of this " we are talking and not fighting" is blindness. Of course a deal is better than war but let's make a decent deal FFS. We held all of the chips, why give it away behind a weak deal?
And yet we never talk about Pakistan, who had Osama Bin Laden living there for ten years and "nobody noticed". In a choice between the Iranians and the Pakistanis, I think it's pretty clear who we could trust more to not let a nuclear weapon fall into the hands of terrorists. The Saudis?

..To the thread subject.....there is a danger of Israel making a deal with Saudi Arabia (who very much hates Iran)for basing military hardware for a strike on Iran. What limits such a strike by Israel is not ability but distance, Saudi territory would eliminate that distance. That said, I do not think this will happen, but it should be at least noted.
Enemy of my enemy etc. but I don't see it happening although makes sense to do so. If Saudi absorbs all the Palestinian..If the US falls out with Saudi Arabia over Iran, does Israel sit on the fence?

So in short, the ME would be all harmonious if it weren't for the U.S. Israel, after being attacked by five nations, cannot keep some of the land taken in said war for a buffer? But of course, if you say so.
Can't clap with one hand. IMO, Israel (& the US while we are discussing them together ) should have mounted a charm offensive many years ago, and still it is not too late.Thanksgiving rather more.

They do not agree with Israel's right to exist, full stop. Those who know, know this.
