Has anyone come across a Knee Defender before?! It's a device someone can put on the seat in front of them to stop the person in front reclining!

It is slightly irksome when someone does it on a 50min flight to Ireland (but that is their prerogative and id never complain) and I'm personally not one for reclining my seat unless it's a time most people are trying to sleep etc, but I'd be furious if someone took the choice away from me! Not illegal apparently.

You've paid for a seat in that class. You might even have paid for a particular seat but you haven't paid for the recline or inflight entertainment etc. if any of those functions don't work, you won't get a refund.
Nonsense. People pay for a seat that does certain things. One of which is reclining. I wouldn't be a dick about it and wouldn't recline if someone tall is behind me but some self righteous tt just not wanting me to recline would get no sympathy.

You may not get a refund but you may get moved to a 'working' seat if available. Seen it happen with the TV stuff which is another thing you claim you haven't paid for.

I hope you can sleep through me jabbing my screen in your headrest 'cos I won't be sleeping with you lying on my knees.
If Sleepy gets Grumpy about it, he can always put his seat back up and be Happy. If he's Dopey enough to start trouble then he better call Doc first.
I can't think of a way weave Sneezy or Bashful into that.. Any takers?
Little people don't need to recline seats but us grown ups do need leg room.
If you aren't tired enough to sleep sitting up, then just wait until you get to your hotel and sleep there.
Whoa calm down hard man you are scaring people.

I have no issues in biz or 1st class longhaul, nor do I have issues when I'm travelling in my own time. But if due to scheduling issues I'm travelling in the company's time shorthaul cattle-class, I expect to be able to work.
Perhaps if you expect to be able to work you should stump up the extra money to upgrade your seat rather than complaining about someone who just presumably wants to relax on the flight they have paid the same as you for?

Or tell your company to upgrade you if they expect you to work?

nfortunately the days of companies paying for business class short-haul travel are largely over.
Then tell them you can't work on the short flight if they are still expecting you to? Their problem surely?

Although I agree they shouldn't recline on short haul anyway.
