Sorry couldn't find a thread specifically for this.
Hopefully the mods will see it as a bit of fun and not a heavy type post or anything.
Its like William Hills meets Pistonheads that sort of thing.
It's really simple
You put down what you think the vote result will be
In the format of:

XX YES
XX NO
XX turnout
It's just for fun but the winner gets an imaginary bottle of Johnny Walker Red Whisky label brewed in Hemel Hempstead if the Yes's get it or a collection of Alex Salmonds protestations if the No's carry it.

The good news is that the turnout is expected to exceed 80% or registered voters, with an estimated 97% of potential voters registered.

The level of political engagement has definitely increased. smile
Really ?
I doubt they get near that turnout figure.

I've not actually said how I'll be voting, only made a prediction of turnout and outcome.......
I was thinking more that you could pass this on to your cohorts who are swinging to the Yes vote, mind you, if they don't listen to the facts..... rotate

Speaking of facts, where is Edinburger? Still on the fence?
I prefer just the figures type posts but you sir have out a massive smile on my face with that one !

laugh

As indicated in the Mail article I posted on the main thread, the polling industry is very concerned, that the polls are potentially way off what the final result will be (in either direction).
I can't find our friends Guams actual post in the other thread - mainly as its so thick and fast with posters in there whereas this is more a bit of fun but.........

If the link is the article is the one Guam refers to then it makes VERY interesting reading indeed.

OK
Its a bit early as I think there is another vote due yet
BUT

Oa went for ....... 55% NO 45% YES 87% turnout
Kowalski went for ....... 55% NO 45% YES 80% Turnout
rst 99 got the figures but the wrong war round if I read his post correctly

So at this stage I would say Oa pretty much nailed it. Just slightly up on the turnout figures too

I think there is 1 left to declare but I am off out now so will check back later

No problem Mr Oa
your imaginary prize of Alex Salmond protestations quotes is being carefully collected as we speak in the meantime on behalf of myself and Mrs GPO please accept this collection of Alex looking glum pics as an early prize:

And a rare treat: Alex dressed as the local vicar- coming soon to a Parish near you:

I'm hoping for a yes but I expect 55% No, 45% Yes.
Can I share the delightful Ms Sturgeon?
Of course. I apologise for not registering your vote ! I should have adopted the policy of some Glaswegians and registered it twice.

Here are some pics for you to enjoy:

Here she awaits her sausage:

Here she is meeting her sister at the airport:

And here she is when she popped into the newly opened café in Balamory on a pre election visit
