Oskar Groening, 93, is to go on trial for being an accessory to the murder of 300,000 inmates at Auschwitz between May and June 1944.

That the "Accountant of Auschwitz" is interviewed a number of times in this documentary, where his involvement in the day-to-day running of the camp isn't denied, it does raise the question of why its taken so long.

The real outrage is the true architects of the Holocaust never saw trial and led ordinary lives after the war.
I quite agree.

It could be said that some of the "key" decision makers in the whole atrocity did face justice (Heydrich was blown up, Himmler committed suicide, Eichmann was found and hanged as was Rudolf Höss) of course. It doesn't remove the fact that thousands of SS and NSDP members who were directly complicit in the atrocity either never stood trial, or received laughable sentences.

A fact that wasn't lost on members of Nakam : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nakam
