Shouldn't CNN, Fox know the facts?
Discussion
I've watched a few reports by Fox News, CNN etc lately and have been blown away by the stupidity and lack of understanding, around the issues that they have been attempting to report. When the Costa Concordia ran aground, Fox reported the similarities between that and the film Titanic, seemingly oblivious to the fact that the sinking of the Titanic was an actual event in history.
More recently though, I've seen CNN have Reza Aslan as a guest, believing that he shared some of the same views on Islam as 'comedian' Bill Maher. Personally, I had never heard Reza Aslan before this report (although I have watched several interviews since) but it seems incredible that these supposed News channels can be so lacking in either fact, or understanding, of the situations they are reporting.

Does Fox News turn its female reporters into the journalistic equivalent of Stepford wives?

Ahhhhh, the American way of 'reporting' the news is infact to turn it into an entertainment show with loonies on it.
Agree. Spend anytime watching TV in American and you would be hard pressed to tell the different between Fox/CNN News and a made up entertainment programe. They all look the same, and pretty much cover the same content. Have another:

This one is brilliant - the host cannot get it into her head why the author, a muslim, wrote a book about the historical figure Jesus.

Fox News/CNN
Yeah, I agree, but Megyn Kelly (Fox) kicks most anchors into the weeds both in the pleasing to the eye and the intellect stakes.Hard to believe she's in her mid 40s. A very sharp woman who doesn't take any crap.
Contrast her to that [clarkson-voice]stupidly dumb bint[/clarkson-voice] Naga Munchetty that greets us every morning and I'll take Fox News over the BBC every day.
(We need another Kay Burley type of petition for Naga Munchetty - not that the first one did any good.)
