What a grade-a ahole. I think however there are plenty of people now in the world who wish him harm and have the means by which to do so.

Good.
I really, *really* hope someone f*cks him up big time.

Poor bloke. Can't say I approve of hunting lions, but the hysteria surrounding it is mental.
People love a bandwagon.
If those responding to this news felt the way I felt when I read about it, then there's no bandwagon jumping here - just people feeling angry and sad, at what is nothing less than cold blooded barbarity in the name of entertainment.

It's heartbreaking and despairing to see such animals being killed like this.

Poor guy? Please. I hope he get's irreversibly f*cked up.

It's the apparent glee and happiness the c*nts seem to derive from hunting and killing.

I can't empathise with that any more than I can empathise with jihadi john cutting the head of some poor sod.

One killed to provide food, the other killed for sport/ entertainment - I don't think they are comparable.
Agreed. Also it sounds like one animal had to suffer with an arrow wound for some 40 hours before being finished off.
And what is the most dangerous of wild animals????
Eh?

"like a wounded animal"
Is this some kinda nod towards how boss man actually hunted and killed the most dangerous of animals (coz it was wounded) ?

Essentially the issue seems to be he killed the wrong lion and we wouldn't even be reading about it had it been a different one?
I think you're right. It seems its ok to kill animals so long as they don't have names. I don't like what he did one little bit but I don't like this social media witch hunt very much either.
I agree, if it wasn't a 'famous' lion, this wouldn't even be in the news. Whether you agree or disagree with what he did, the reaction is way OTT.
I can only speak for myself but I'd be no less upset if it wasn't a famous Lion.

For me, it's nothing to do with names and everything to do with the murderous act of killing an animal for fun.

A fox, pheasant or Lion, it matters not. In my view, you have to be pretty fked in the head to get any enjoyment from killing an animal for entertainment.

Hence, I'm glad that a ststorm has ensued, and that this murderous c*nt is right in the middle of it. Moreover, I'm also glad that the story has served to raise awareness of such things.

As said, hopefully something positive can come from the death of such a beautiful animal.

But this sort of thing has been going on forever and probably a few more have been shot today. Why get outraged about it now?
Why do you presume to know me better than I know myself? What makes you think I'm only just getting outraged about it now?

Truth is, I have personally never accepted the idea of hunting animals for fun, and just because it's been going on for hundreds of years doesn't make it any less wrong, in my opinion.

If I found a stray dog and killed it on sight, the police and associated agencies would throw the book at me, and rightly so. Which means, as a society, we've accepted that cruelty to animals is inherently wrong. Unless, of course, it's a "tradition" - in which case, it's perfectly ok.

As for advocating something nasty to happen to this guy, yep, I'd love to hear about someone going to town on him.

This is a bit different. I am much more on the fence when it comes to fox hunting and game bird shooting but when it comes to big game, and in particular endangered animals I can't even begin to express the utter contempt in which I hold those who consider it sport. Hunting a lion with a bowie knife I can almost get, even if I still could not support it due to the state of the population. Using a cross bow and guns though is cowardice.
Lions are not endangered.
He said "...but when it comes to big game, and in particular endangered animals..."

So he didn't refer to Lions as being endangered. Thus, negating the need for your statement.

Further, that they aren't endangered does not (in my opinion) make it any less wrong that they should be hunted like this.

KTF, I'm one of those who feels strongly about this. Indeed, I am the OP of this thread.

Why does that make me a handwringer or keyboard warrior?

If he was playing by the rules and paying to control the population in the park rather than have a ranger shoot a lion as they would have done but not get an income from it then why is this suddenly a big thing?
Read what I've previously posted; I'm not repeating myself for you.

Micro-clitted bh.

(happy?!)

Seriously though, reading the hyperbole from her, describing the animals as "amazing" and "beautiful" - yeah, so amazing and beautiful that you felt the need to kill them.

The grinning evil fker hugging the poor thing and cheering is what did it for me. I'm against hunting for sport and fun at the best of times but to see someone take such glee from the killing really sickens me.

I hope the next animal she targets kicks her in the .
